  • Donald Trump was criticized for wanting to end the lockdown two two weeks from now

Donald Trump just revealed the shocking reason why he wants the coronavirus lockdown in the United States to end on Easter Sunday.

Initially, the POTUS’ critics were convinced that he wants the lockdown to end to help improve the stock market. But the president denied that this was the reason why he picked Easter Sunday.

During a recent press conference, a reporter asked Trump about his desire to see churches packed on Easter.

“Do you think public health experts think that’s a realistic timeline?” the reporter asked.

“I think we’re looking at a timeline. We’re discussing it,” the POTUS said.

When the reporter asked who suggested the date, Trump said that he just thought it was a beautiful time.

Dr. Anthony Fauci tried to do damage control after the POTUS said that he wants the lockdown to end on Easter Sunday. He said that even though there is a date set on the POTUS’s mind, everyone has to remember that they need to be flexible.

Meanwhile, the POTUS’s critics are not pleased with his desire to end the lockdown as soon as possible. After all, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) previously claimed that it’s best to stay at home for as long as possible to prevent the further spread of coronavirus.

The CDC and WHO have also advised the public to avoid going to crowded places. In fact, gatherings with 10 people are more are also being discouraged.

“I’m sorry but regardless of what the president says: going to church on Easter this year is a terrible idea! Don’t put yours and others’ lives at risk including the medical professionals that have to care for you,” Twitter user @SaraWhit_14 said.

“This man is going to kill us all to throw a bone to evangelicals,” Twitter user @frampton said.

“A beautiful time to contract a life-threatening illness,” Twitter user @agentanaranjado said.
