Donald Trump faced backlash for posting a very positive tweet while the entire nation is struggling amid the coronavirus outbreak.

“Everybody is so well unified and working so hard. It is a beautiful thing to see. They love our great country. We will end up being stronger than ever before!” the POTUS wrote.

According to Political Flare, the president must have been talking about the people that are living through the pandemic, and he was trying to lift their spirits up.

“I get what he’s trying to do, he’s trying to be the leader, the man who keeps the nation’s resolve together. He’s trying to be Churchill. It is his FDR moment, the only thing we have to fear is … the [expletive] in the White House. It just doesn’t work for him,” journalist Jason Miciak said.

On Twitter, Trump received a slew of different reactions after his millions of followers read his tweet.

“Thank you, President Trump, for your leadership. God bless America,” Twitter user @thebradfordlife said.

“If we need lies, then we will look to you for help,” Twitter user @JeffreyGuterman said.

“Trump is right. We are all unified against him. Resign,” Twitter user @Pappiness said.

In a follow-up tweet, @Pappiness accused the POTUS of downplaying the crisis.

“We need a leader who cares more about people than his poll numbers,” he wrote.

“Just resign. #TrumpIsTheWorstPresidentEver,” Twitter user @RobertA54611889 said.

“As a huge Trump campaign donor (several tens of dollars borrowed from my parents) I can definitely and accurately say that it is has been the best money off mine (kind of) that I’ve ever spent! Can you believe that we have someone this competent leading our country? MAGA!” Twitter user @TrumpVoterWTF said.

“I’m not here to dump on Trump’s message during a time like this. We’re beyond petty politics right now and need to all work together, even with our political enemies, to get us through this nightmare of a coronavirus pandemic. The time for attacking each other can come later,” Twitter user @eugenegu said.
