"Don't Worry Darling" is scheduled to release on Sept. 23 in theaters. It will start streaming on HBO Max 45 days after its theatrical release.

The psychological thriller, helmed by Wilde,is set in the 1950s. It begins when Alice Chambers (played by Pugh) learns an upsetting truth about her husband, Jack Chambers (Styles' character).

Styles wasn't the first choice to play the role of Alice's husband. He entered the project after Shia LaBeouf's exit in September 2020.

After Styles joined the project, Wilde thanked him saying, "Most male actors don't want to play supporting roles in female-led films."
