Sony-affiliated music producer Dr. Luke remained quiet for years as “Tik Tok” singer Kesha claimed he physically and medically abused her, but he broke his silence with a long Twitter rant Monday. Dr. Luke denied the claims, and even called out Lady Gaga, who, along with a slew of other musicians, came to Kesha’s defense Friday.

“Until now I haven’t commented on the lawsuits, which should be resolved in court not here on Twitter,” Dr. Luke began his diatribe. “It’s a shame that there’s so much speculation out there basing itself on so little information. The only truly objective person who knows the facts is the judge. The judge did not rule in Kesha’s favor on Friday. I understand why people without all the information are speaking out. I can appreciate their compassion.”

Dr. Luke then compared the allegations against him to those made against others at Duke University and the University of Virginia, where men were wrongly accused of rape. “But lives can get ruined when there’s a rush to judgment before all the facts come out. Look what happened at UVA, Duke etc,” he wrote. “Of course any sane person is against rape and sexual assault but everybody who is commenting is doing so without knowledge or facts.”

Kesha testified under oath that Dr. Luke never raped and never roofied her, according to an article in the New York Daily News in 2014. “I didn’t rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her. Kesha and I were friends for many years and she was like my little sister,” he said. “Kesha has denied under oath the horrible allegations now being made against me.”

Dr. Luke, whose birth name is Lukasz Gottwald, said, “Kesha and I made a lot of songs together and it was often good but there were creative differences at times.” He added, “It’s sad that she would turn a contract negotiation into something so horrendous and untrue.”

He also called out Lady Gaga. The “American Horror Story: Hotel” actress defended Dr. Luke in 2014 when the accusations were first made. But after Kesha’s court appearance Friday, she stood with the “We R Who We R” singer.
