The Duggar family has yet to speak out about Josh Duggar’s rumored return to TLC but that hasn’t stopped the “Counting On” brood from updating fans on their lives.

Ahead of their reality series return to airwaves next month, it’s been reported by In Touch Weekly that Josh Duggar is going to star in his own upcoming webisode for “Counting On.” If all goes well, he is said to have high hopes to star on the next season of the program.

“Nobody thought TLC would ever allow him on again,” a source told the publication, reporting Josh’s dad, Jim Bob Duggar, pulled some strings for him. “He spent a month trying to convince TLC that Josh should be back on the show. They finally caved.” According to the publication, Josh will talk about “his joy at learning he’s going to be a father again” in the installment.

TLC and the Duggars have not confirmed Josh’s return to the limelight, but In Touch has been known to break stories about the family. In May 2015, the publication reported that Josh had molested five girls, some of his victims being his own sisters, as a teen. The reveal led to the cancelation of the family’s original TLC series, “19 Kids and Counting,” and Josh’s departure from the network.

Three months later, another bombshell revealed that Josh had an account on the affair-facilitating website Ashley Madison. Josh alter admitted to cheating on his wife, Anna Duggar.

Nineteen months after attending rehab, Josh and Anna revealed in March that they are expecting their fifth child, a boy. The couple is due to welcome baby No. 5 later this year.

Josh’s return to TV isn’t surprising. It has been reported since June 2016 that he has been trying to get back into the spotlight. At the time, Josh, who was working as a used car salesman, was said to have come to the realization that another TV series “is the only way he’s going to be able to make a proper income.”

The Duggar family has also been slowly incorporating Josh back into their Facebook fan page. In March, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar celebrated their eldest son’s 29th birthday with a special post. “Happy birthday, Josh. We love you, your amazing wife and sweet children,” the parents wrote. “We pray that you diligently follow and serve the Lord with your whole heart all the days of your life and that this year is a wonderful year for you and your family.”

While “Counting On” viewers will have to wait and see if Josh makes his big return to TLC, the Duggars are keeping busy. After news broke about Josh on Wednesday, the family followed up with an updated shot of their two newest pairs.

“The happy couples!” Jim Bob and Michelle captioned a picture of their 19-year-old daughter and soon-to-be bride Joy-Anna Duggar with future husband Austin Forsyth. Accompanying them in the shot was their son Joseph Duggar and his girlfriend of two months, Kendra Caldwell.
