In 2015, there were reports revealing that Sheeran got rid of his mobile device and if you think it can only go on for a period of time, think again. On one episode of “I Am A Celeb…,” Roman Kemp, Sheeran’s friend, revealed that the “Perfect” singer still doesn’t have a phone and the only way to reach him is through email, Geo TV News reported.

Sheeran confirmed this in 2017 with James Corden in an episode of Carpool Karaoke. The singer even recommended to the English host to give it a try.

“Are you telling me that this is something I should do?” Corden asked Sheeran.

“You should definitely do it,” the singer replied. “I actually don’t have a phone anymore.”

Sheeran went on adding that he once had a phone for 2 weeks but didn’t charge it. The singer compared the “now” to how it would’ve been like 30 years ago —when mobile phones were not as in demand as they are nowadays. Sheeran also shared his experience of waking up every morning to 50 messages from people asking him about so many stuff but none of the people asked how he was doing. Although it was fine at the beginning, the singer-celebrity revealed how draining it was.

So here’s what he did. He got rid of it, traveled, got perspective and made an album. Sheeran reportedly just bought an iPad to work on his emails and here’s what he got —less stress.
