Singer Grimes has revealed that she secretly had another baby with her then-boyfriend, Elon Musk.

The news that the couple welcomed a baby girl to their family came accidentally as the infant cried during an interview Grimes, 33, was doing with Vanity Fair, forcing her to reveal the truth.

In the interview with Vanity Fair, Grimes first tried to scoff off the cries, saying she would not discuss family matters.

“I’m not at liberty to speak on these things. Whatever is going on with family stuff, I just feel like kids need to stay out of it,” she told the news outlet before she caved and spilled that she had a little girl with Musk through a surrogate in December 2021.

Grimes then folded again and said, “She’s a little colicky too,” as she also made reference to her son with Musk, who is named X Æ A-XII but goes by X.

The songstress, who is working on new music, a space opera dubbed “Book 1,” was notably embarrassed by the situation, telling the news outlet, “I don’t know what I was thinking” as she laughed about the idea of hiding a baby.

Her daughter, who she said during the interview is named Exa Dark Sideræl but goes by Y, was born a few months after Musk, 50, and she broke up after three years of dating.

Where are the couple today? Together, sort of, Grimes explained.

“There’s no real word for it. I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid,” she explained in the interview. “We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time. ...We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it.”

But Grimes is happy with the arrangement, saying, “This is the best it’s ever been. We just need to be free.”

The couple also has plans to add to their family with more siblings for X and Y.

“We’ve always wanted at least three or four,” Grimes added.

Musk also has five sons from a previous marriage – twins Griffin and Xavier, 17, and triplets Damian, Saxon, and Kai, 16.
