Elsa Pataky has admitted that her marriage with “Avengers” actor Chris Hemsworth isn’t perfect and that their relationship requires a lot of work.

In a new interview, Pataky, who is set to celebrate her 10-year anniversary with Hemsworth in December, said achieving this milestone has not been easy. The “Fast & Furious” actress also said she found it funny that people consider them a perfect couple.

“No way. It’s been ups and downs, and we still keep working at the relationship,” the 44-year-old actress said in an issue of Australia’s Body + Soul released on Sunday, Aug. 23.

“I think a relationship is constant work. It’s not easy. I always try to see the positives of things,” she explained.

Hemsworth has also been candid about his relationship with Pataky, previously revealing that they often clash as both of them have strong opinions on things.

“I can be pretty damn stubborn, so can she, which is probably where we tend to butt heads occasionally,” he told News.com.au in May last year. “But we’ve done pretty well to still be trucking along quite nicely, all things considered. We both have strong opinions and also both have a great amount of enthusiasm for what we believe in.”

The two celebrities are parents to three children — daughter India, 8, and 6-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan — and have developed a strong bond thanks to their shared passion for staying active and fit. Pataky and Hemsworth also have ensured their children follow their lead in this aspect.

“We’ve got the kids into surfing,” Pataky said. “Any hobbies to get them outside, and not on social media and computers. My daughter has been horseriding with me since she was two-and-a-half.”

The couple’s desire to give their children a normal upbringing saw them moving from Hollywood to Byron Bay, Australia, in 2014.

Family is a priority for both Pataky and Hemsworth. And in June last year, the “Snow White and the Huntsman” actor announced that he was taking a break from films to spend more time with his family.

Pataky also admitted that although she loves acting, finding a work-life balance was more important.

“So, if something comes along that fits into my life and lets me work close to home, then I’m happy to do it,” she said.
