Committed to bringing memories to digitally non-connected people, especially seniors, Familink has introduced its digital frame for family, friends and loved ones to instantaneously send and view pictures in a smooth, easy and fun way.

Familink, in its desire to let senior loved ones struggling to embrace new technology, introduced its plug-and-play digital photo frame that does not require any installation.

For those wondering what Familink digital photo frame is, the product is like an ordinary photo frame except that it receives and sends photos and captions them through a mobile app, website, email and Facebook Messenger without the need for a WiFi connection or a complicated setup.

It is automatically linked by an already configured 4G sim card, included in the package, and has no limit on the number of users. It can store up to 10,000 photos.

The company also made sure that each set is already paired with a Familink account each time it ships the product to new users to ensure that users, especially seniors, will not have a hard time configuring the product.

How does Familink's digital photo frame work?

Users simply need to plug in the frame and share the frame reference number with their family, friends and loved ones.

It also features a mobile and web interface for easy photo sharing and comes with a dedicated email address so users can send photos directly from their devices to the photo frame.

Familink was founded by Alexis Legoff and Jiri Kosla in 2016 in Normandy, France. Since its inception in the market, the company has sold over 10,000 digital photo frames and has amassed more than 65,000 users.

"When we created Familink, we were looking for a quick and simple technical solution to connect seniors easily to the rest of the family. Our grandparents are often not technology professionals and may not be comfortable with the latest trendy devices," Familink said in a blog.

"In addition, some seniors do not have televisions or tablets. Some may lack the ability to communicate with their children and grandchildren. The television or the tablet frequently requires an internet connection and a service provider. This represents an additional monthly cost," the company added.

"At Familink, we believe that photos greatly facilitate dialogue between generations. That's why we have developed solutions to simplify the sharing of your images between family members, the company said.

Familink showcased its digital photo frame at this year's Consumer Electronic Show (CES) under AsWeShare in booth #60411-13 in the Venetian, Hall G, Startup/Travel Tech section.
