A cause of death has been determined for 43-year-old adult film star Jessica Jaymes, who was found dead at home in Southern California in September.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office determined Jaymes, whose real name is Jessica Michael Redding, died from a massive seizure brought on by “natural causes.” It was also found that Jaymes was suffering from “chronic ethanol abuse,” or alcohol abuse, which the coroner’s office believes contributed to her death.

Jaymes’ body was first discovered unresponsive in her North Hills home by her husband, who called EMS. He reportedly went to check on her after not hearing from her for several days. She was pronounced dead around 4:30 p.m. at the house shortly after EMS arrived.

TMZ reported that Jaymes had a history of seizures and that there were multiple prescription drugs found in the house.

A native of Anchorage, Alaska, Jaymes appeared in over 200 films. She began working in adult entertainment in 2002 and went on to start her own production studio, Spizoo, in 2008. In 2018, she was inducted into the Adult Video News Hall of Fame.

Jaymes also worked in mainstream productions like Showtime’s “Weeds” and made appearances on “The Howard Stern Show” and VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab Sober House.”
