EA Sports revealed some details about the upcoming "FIFA 20" at the EA Play press conference. Aside from the annual football game usual game modes, it will also feature new features and game modes that focuses on street football. The new game is also revealed to be a 2019 release.

As seen on the EA Play livestream, "FIFA 20" will introduce the Volta mode which is a street football mode. Rather than large open fields, players will play in caged, street football courts with the other players.

So far, customization options, different stages, and two separate modes for Volta has been confirmed in the stream. Players can pick a boy or a girl character and customize their clothes. Confirmed areas for the this street football mode are a rooftop court in Japan, a regular caged court, and a court beneath an underpass in Amsterdam. Overall, the aesthetic of being a street football player is captured in this game mode.

The Volta game mode is divided into two larger modes for its Story and Online modes. Similar to The Journey mode of previous "FIFA 17," the Volta story mode would follow the player’s quest to become one of legends of the sport. Meanwhile, the online mode would be a multiplayer mode where players can bring their custom characters into the court.

As for its release, "FIFA 20" be released this coming September 27. The game still follows the usual release date for the annual "FIFA" releases. For now, we’ll have to wait for few more months to start playing the next "FIFA" video game again.
