Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s ex-girlfriend slammed Conor McGregor for mocking her domestic violence incident with the UFC fighter. In a statement to TMZ Sports, Josie Harris' attorney, Dan Friedlander, said McGregor must refrain from capitalizing on his client's suffering.

"Conor McGregor's exploitation of the events surrounding Mayweather's violent beating of Josie Harris, for the sole purpose of promoting an upcoming boxing match and taunting his opponent in the ongoing media-driven feud between the two fighters, demonstrates not only an insensitivity toward the emotional well-being and privacy of the victim of Mayweather's domestic violence, but also a general disregard for the physical and emotional trauma and long-lasting psychological impacts suffered by victims of domestic abuse," Friedlander said.

"On behalf of Josie Harris, her and Mayweather’s three children, and all victims of domestic violence, we ask that Conor McGregor refrain from capitalizing off of the trauma suffered by her and other victims of domestic abuse," he added.

On July 23, McGregor trolled Mayweather by wearing an NBA jersey of C.J. Watson — the man Floyd accused his ex-girlfriend of secretly texting in 2010, an incident which allegedly triggered their violent altercation.

Mayweather was convicted of attacking Harris during the 2010 domestic violence incident at the boxer's Vegas home in front of their three kids. He was taken into custody at the time but was released after a $3,000 bail. Mayweather spent two months in prison for attacking his then-girlfriend at his Las Vegas home in front of their three children. He was also ordered 100 hours of community service and a fine of $2,500.

McGregor's jersey raised questions on social media and while responding to a question posted by Draymond Green, number 23 of the Golden State Warrior, the fighter said: "That's C.J. Watson mate. I don't know who the f--- you are. No disrespect tho kid. Keep hustling and stay in school."

He also said, "Now ask yourself I am rocking C.J. when i don't know or give a f--- about basketball. I dribble heads off the floor. Not a ball. This is no game here kid."

The domestic violence incident took place on Sept. 9, 2010, and following the incident Harris endured emotional and psychological trauma, shaming, humiliation, blaming and embarrassment caused by Mayweather's violence, the statement from Friedlander went on saying.

Mayweather and McGregor are on a world tour promoting their Aug. 26 Las Vegas fight, and the two continue to slam each other on several occasions.

McGregor is not the only one who took shots at Mayweather over his domestic violence incident. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) winner Ronda Rousey in 2015 took a dig at his history of domestic violence.

“I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once,” Rousey said at the time, adding: "I'd like to see you pretend not to know who I am now." The comment referred to Mayweather’s statement in July 2015 where he he said he “didn’t know who she [Rousey] is.”
