More than 6,000 pounds of ready-to-eat salad and dip products are being recalled in Illinois ahead of Super Bowl Sunday, after it was revealed they were produced and contained meat that did not undergo federal inspection.

The products were made by the company Food Evolution, based in Schiller Park, Illinois, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced on Friday. No reports of adverse reactions have been made, but consumers are urged to return affected products or throw them out.

The problem, WGN reports, was that product was produced “at an off-site facility without the benefit of federal inspection, then repackaged and labeled the products with the USDA mark of inspection at the federal establishment.”

Products that are being recalled have an establishment number of EST. 34309 inside the USDA mark of inspection and were shipped to various retailers in Illinois.

The recalled products include:

18 and 31-oz. Containers Taco Dip with Refried Beans, Chili, Sour Cream, Cheddar, Onions, Black Olives, Jalapenos & Red Pepper.

7-oz. Container Tri-Colored Italian Style Rotini Pasta Salas with Salami

8-oz. Container German Style Potato Salad with Bacon

The affected products all were produced on various dates from Nov. 9, 2020 and Jan. 29, 2021 and have Use By dates through Feb. 6, 2021.
