Ford (F) released the 2021 Bronco 4x4 in a livestreaming event, offering a look at the two-door model and its first-ever four-door Bronco configuration. Ford said production on the Bronco lineup will begin in early 2021, arriving at dealers next spring, with prices starting at $29,995.

As speculated, Ford will launch the Bronco with more than 200 factory accessories, allowing for complete customization to take on rival Jeep.

“We created the Bronco family to elevate every aspect of off-road adventure and equipped them with class-leading chassis hardware and exclusive technologies to raise the bar in the rugged 4x4 segment and take people further into the wild,” Jim Farley, Ford chief operating officer, said in a statement Monday.

“They’re built with the toughness of an F-Series truck and performance spirit of Mustang – and come wrapped in one of the most stunning and functional off-road designs that’s true to the original Bronco design DNA,” he added.

Powering the 4x4 is a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that is expected to delivers 310 horsepower with 400 pounds-per-feet of torque or a 2.3-liter EcoBoost powertrain that is anticipated to develop 270 horsepower and 310 pounds-per-feet of torque.

Ford said the Bronco is “Built Wild,” allowing it to take on the harshest of conditions with seven driver modes – Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery and Sand, Baja, Mud/Ruts, and Rock Crawl. Buyers can choose between two 4x4 systems -- a base mode and an advanced option – and a seven-speed manual transmission with a 10-speed automatic option offered.

The roof on both the four-door and two-door models remove in three sections that allow for an open-air experience. A hardtop version is also available as well as a cloth soft-top version. Frameless doors are standard, with room for storage and a 150-pound carrying capacity.

The interior of the Bronco is inspired by the first-generation of the vehicle with an LCD instrument display and 12-volt power connections to mount an array of accessory options. A SYNC 4 system with 12-inch display is equipped to offer over-the-air updates and integrated with the FordPass Performance off-road navigation system.

The Bronco comes in 11 colors and series models that include a base SUV, Big Bend, Black Diamond and Outer Banks configurations as well as a limited production First Edition. Ford has also launched the Bronco Sport – a compact version of the 4x4 SUV.

Ford will build the Bronco at its Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne. Reservations for the Bronco are available now for $100 down.

Shares of Ford were trading at $6.26 as of 10:38 a.m. ET, up $0.20 or 3.30%.
