Taco Bell announced plans Thursday to join forces with fashion retailer Forever 21 to launch a clothing line. The collection, called Forever 21 x Taco Bell, would include attire for men and women that celebrate the restaurant's devoted fandom.

Forever 21 x Taco is inspired by both brand's notable graphics. The graphics will be paired with an array of prints. The collection, which is a limited edition line, would mark the fast-food chain's first foray into fashion.

"We often think of Taco Bell as 'the fast fashion of food,' given how we continuously introduce innovative limited edition products that everyone can enjoy," Marisa Thalberg, Taco Bell's chief marketing officer, said in a press release Thursday. "When it came to our first-ever retail collaboration, we knew our partner had to be the leader in actual fast fashion.

"We've seen our fans get individually creative in expressing their love for Taco Bell through fashion, and we believe this collection with Forever 21 is going to be everything they would expect from us in extending the Taco Bell lifestyle to fashion: original, affordable, creative a little quirky and definitely fun."

The collection will have tops, bodysuits and cropped hoodies for women. Men will be able to choose from sweatshirts, hoodies and anorak jackets. It will also feature a pullover, hoodie and select graphic tees for girls.

"We are excited about this partnership with Taco Bell," Linda Chang, Forever 21 vice-president of merchandising, said in a press release Thursday. "Food, like fashion, is driven by trends and culture. Merging fashion and food in this collection gives our customers a new way to experience both our brands."

Forever 21 x Taco Bell is slated to hit stores Oct. 11. It will be available globally on Forever 21's website and in select Forever 21 stores. The brands, however, are inviting fans to partake in pre-launch festivities.

Fans can submit photo or video that showcase their admiration for the two brands. The footage must capture the individual's love for Forever 21 and Taco Bell, highlight individual style and pay homage to Taco Bell menu items. Content can be submitted for entry on social media by using the hashtag #F21xTacoBell.

All submissions will be incorporated into a runway event on Oct. 10 ahead of the line's launch. The preview show will take place in the Fashion District in Downtown Los Angeles. The celebration will boast a taco truck and musical entertainment from a Taco Bell Feed the Beat artist. Fans will be invited to actively participate in an after party following the main event.

Devoted Taco Bell super fans Brittany Creech and Andrew McBurnie, who became a viral sensation after sharing photos of their Taco Bell-inspired senior portrait, will also be in attendance. The duo will model the Forever 21 x Taco Bell collection alongside influencers and a diverse group of fans.

A representative from Forever 21 and Taco Bell did not immediately return International Business Times' request for comment.

This wouldn't be the first time Forever 21 has paired with an unlikely collaborator. The fashion retailer joined forces with Nintendo to launch a collection, titled Super Nintendo x Forever 21, Friday. The limited edition collection boasts clothing inspired by Nintendo characters Mario and Zelda. The 16-piece collection includes a variety of graphic tees, hoodies and long sleeve shirts.
