"Game of Thrones" begins its final season in nearly a month and HBO remains very coy with what it teases audiences. HBO's strategy seems understandable given the heightened fan interest in the fate of Jon Snow and Cercei Lannister.

As fan speculation grows, a new leak may have spoiled the exact time audiences have left in Westeros.

According to a report from IGN, the runtime for Season 8 may have just been revealed. The total runtime for the final season is being reported at six hours and 50 minutes.

The exact episode breakdown goes like this:

Season 8 Episode 1 - 54 minutes

Season 8 Episode 2 - 58 minutes

Season 8 Episode 3 - 60 minutes

Season 8 Episode 4 - 78 minutes

Season 8 Episode 5 - 80 minutes

Season 8 Episode 6 - 80 minutes

The final three episodes will all be well over an hour. This falls in line with previous rumors about some of the episodes in Season 8 having runtimes on par with films. And that it escalates as the season goes on would also make sense as writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss wrap up the major loose ends and character arcs.

But there’s also the question of which episode may contain the Battle of Winterfell. The battle that will pit the armies of the living against the Night King’s army is being reported as the longest consecutive battle sequence ever filmed and will be the focus of one entire episode.

While questions will persist about where such an episode will fit in the series, there is also the question of what role Cercei will play once the Golden Company arrives on Westeros’ shores.

Dave Hill, who wrote one episode in each of the last three seasons, has the writing credits for the first episode of Season 8. Benioff and Weiss have writing credits for the final four episodes and they will direct the season finale.

Season 8 of "Game of Thrones" premieres on April 14 and concludes on May 19.
