Sonny is desperate to prove he loves Carly despite the romantic relationship he had with Nina in Nixon Falls, but on the Monday, Jan. 31 episode of “General Hospital,” Sonny’s dedication may destroy his marriage.

In the promo video for the ABC soap opera, Ned (Wally Kurth) tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he needs to reconsider whatever he is planning. “GH” spoilers reveal Sonny is determined to make a grand gesture.

Although Sonny realized he needs to go back on the medication for his bipolar disorder if he wants to be supportive of his loved ones, viewers have not seen him take his pills.

In the upcoming episode, it appears Sonny will continue his erratic behavior and suggest he needs to do something big to show Carly (Laura Wright) how much he loves her.

Ever since Sonny decided to protect Nina (Cynthia Watros) in court, Carly has asked for him to give her space and moved out.

Despite her request, Sonny once again has come up with a grand gesture to express his love for her. Will his latest attempt to convince Carly to come home push her further away?

Elsewhere in the ABC promo video, Carly tells Michael (Chad Duell) happiness seems further and further away. “General Hospital” spoilers reveal Michael surprises Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) with a trip to Paris.

Before Michael and Willow can take off, he will have a chat with Carly about how she is feeling after moving out of her and Sonny’s home. Carly will be honest with her son about her crumbling marriage.

Although Carly thought being away from Sonny would give her time to reflect, he continues to disrupt her alone time. Will Carly reach her breaking point and reconsider her future with Sonny?

Other “GH” spoilers tease Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) plays the victim, Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and Finn (Michael Easton) consider their future, and Stella (Vernee Watson) confronts Marshall (Robert Gossett).
