  • Ayato gives decent team-wide buffs with or without constellations

A recent string of leaks sent “Genshin Impact” fans into a frenzy following a sneak peek at Kamisato Ayato’s early beta build, featuring all of his active skills, passive talents and constellations.

Leakers shared images of Ayato’s 3D model and videos of his abilities in the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor Discord server, which quickly spread to other social media sites like wildfire overnight. Fans have been craving for Ayato-related leaks ever since Itto’s reveal trailer back in Patch 2.3, where he made a brief voice cameo.

Kamisato Ayato is a 5-star Hydro swordsman who bears a very similar fighting style to his sister, Ayaka. Apart from his flashy basic attacks, Ayato offers some interesting utility and damage options.

Kamisato Ayato Leaked Abilities

Based on the available information, Ayato is going to be most effective in swap-heavy teams due to the nature of his skills.

His Elemental Burst spawns a water clone that taunts enemies while simultaneously placing Ayato in a special stance that modifies his Normal Attack. While in this stance, Ayato’s attacks turn into ultra-fast swipes that deal Hydro damage in an area. Interestingly enough, the damage from this modified auto attack scales off his max HP.

Meanwhile, Ayato’s Elemental Burst creates a rain shower over an area that damages enemies and buffs the attack speed of all allies except for Ayato’s. This ability essentially works like a Hydro version of Ganyu’s ultimate.

As for his passives, Ayato gains more damage for both his abilities while his world passive gives him a chance to yield “Suspicious” meals whenever he cooks an item.

Ayato’s first, second and sixth constellations grant even more damage buffs to his modified basic attacks from his Elemental Skill, especially the C6 bonus, which causes Ayato to hit three times per attack while in his special stance. Meanwhile, his C4 bonus lets him buff the Normal Attack damage of his teammates after using his ultimate ability.

Based on the usual 5-star release patterns, Ayato should be available in the 2.7 patch along with a few other new characters. Yae Miko is currently featured in the limited banner, with both Raiden Shogun and Kokomi scheduled to follow her early next month.
