KEY POINTS

  • “Genshin Impact” Patch 1.6 will let players add more objects to their Serenitea Pots
  • Changes are coming to make Tubby's menus easier to navigate
  • Players will be able to craft items while in co-op mode in Patch 1.6

Players are excited for the buffs to Electro and Swirl reactions in “Genshin Impact’s” upcoming 1.6 patch, but MiHoYo has noted that there will be more changes coming to the recently-added Serenitea Pot and big QoL changes for co-op lobbies.

The Serenitea Pot feature quickly became a fan-favorite one that offered respite to weary adventurers. The landscaping and house decoration features in the Teapot are great new additions to the game, and it didn’t take long before players found themselves wanting more of it.

To address this, MiHoYo announced that it will be increasing the number of placeable items inside and outside of Teapot mansions.

The developers will be increasing the maximum load limit for all players, but they said that the load increase will depend on what device people are playing on. The blog post was vague about how much load will be added and what limitations will be implemented. Those playing on older smartphone models may not be able to add much to their Teapots, if at all.

Additionally, players will soon be able to access the rooms on the upper floors of their mansions once the new patch hits.

Changes will also be coming to Tubby, the Teapot Spirit. Players have been complaining about how long it takes to switch between Tubby’s menus, so the developers have decided to streamline this process.

Once Patch 1.6 arrives, players should no longer have to re-interact with Tubby just to visit different menus, greatly cutting down the time required to navigate between them.

The dev blog made a passing mention of the addition of paved roads and a character move-in feature to the Teapot, noting that both are coming eventually.

Lastly, QoL changes to the co-op mode are going to be added to the game in Patch 1.6. First, players will soon be able to locate co-op partners on the world map more easily. Indicators showing the locations of other players will be visible whenever other players are not visible on the map screen, similar to how pinned map markers work.

Additionally, players will soon be able to interact with crafting benches while in co-op mode. This means players will no longer have to quit or kick each other out whenever the need to craft extra materials arises.

“Genshin Impact” Patch 1.6 is expected to arrive mid-June after Eula’s banner ends. A developer livestream is also scheduled for Thursday.
