As of Tuesday, George and Amal Clooney can officially call themselves parents. The couple welcomed a set of twins into the world at a London hospital.

"This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine," the couple told CNN Tuesday. "George is sedated and should recover in a few days."

Shortly after the birth, Clooney's father — Nick Clooney — weighed in on his newly arrived grandchildren. He admitted that "they're gorgeous," according to ABC News.

"Nina swears they have George's nose," he said after he met his grandchildren on a Skype call. "Not both of them — one of them. The little boy looked like he had [George's] nose, his little profile."

When analyzing the Clooney's baby naming decision, "Ella" and "Alexander" are both relatively normal choices for Hollywood's standards.

Numerous celebrities deliberately designated questionable names for their children over years. Taking this into consideration, what are the worst baby names amongst Hollywood's elite?

In honor of the Clooney's Tuesday birth, International Business Times has created a list — in no particular order, of course — of some of the most strange and questionable baby names that many of our favorite A-listers have given their children.

"APPLE" - GWYNETH PALTROW & CHRIS MARTIN

Surprisingly, the former pair that infamously practices "conscious uncoupling" were inspired by a friend when naming their baby after a fruit, according to People.

Martin's booking agent — Marty Diamond — also has a daughter named Apple. Therefore, People notes that they "asked his permission" to use the same name for their child back in 2004.

Their son was also designated with another equally questionable name, Moses.

"BLUE IVY" - BEYONCE & JAY-Z

As one of the most long-awaited celebrity births of this generation, the power couple famously landed on an unusual name for their first born: Blue Ivy.

While neither party addressed the reasoning behind their unique name choice, Us Weekly notes in 2012 that fans drew their own conclusions as they unearthed a possible conclusion.

"My favorite hue is Jay-Z blue," the famed artist one said on Young Jeezy's song, "Go Crazy."

As for the "Ivy" part, it apparently stands for the Roman numeral, 4, which according to Us Weekly is an important number for the couple.

"CRICKET" - BUSY PHILIPPS & MARC SILVERSTEIN

Philipps deserves to come under fire for naming her youngest daughter Cricket.

During a 2014 appearance on TODAY, Philipps was asked where the "cute" names came from.

"Since I grew up with a nickname — Busy being short for Elizabeth — when my husband and I started to have our babies, we decided that if wanted to call our kids something, we would just name them that thing that we wanted to call them," she told then host Kathie Lee Gifford.

Birdie, the name of their other daughter, also tackles the animalistic side of things. Yet, it's a much better alternative to Cricket.

"NORTH" - KIM KARDASHIAN & KANYE WEST

When Kardashian and West announced their decision to name their first born "North West," the world thought they were joking. Yet, when it was confirmed to be true, the internet naturally was very vocal about their dislike for the name.

During a 2013 appearance on The View, Kris Jenner confirmed the reasoning behind "North."

"The way she explained it to me was North means 'highest power,' and she says that North is [Kim and Kanye's] highest point together," Jenner said on the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "And I thought that was really sweet.

When asked whether the power couple would name their son South, Kardashian told NPR in 2015 that she doesn't "like South West, though, because North will always be better and she has a better direction."

Instead, the pair named their son Saint West, another equally odd choice.

"FUTURE ZAHIR" - CIARA & FUTURE

Considering the couple is no longer together, it's very unfortunate that Ciara allowed her first born to be named "Future."

Back in 2014, we noted that their son — Future Zahir Wilburn — was named after his father. Yet, it's strange for the pair to have named their child after Future's stage name and not his given name, Nayvadius Cash.

Naturally, Twitter was not okay with their ultimate choice.

"BEAR BLU" - ALICIA SILVERSTONE & CHRISTOPHER JARECKI

The "Clueless" star's decision to name her son "Bear Blu" has stumped many. Silverstone's mother helped to determine her first born's name, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"We had narrowed our list to five boy names, and then we couldn't really decide," she told Us Weekly in 2011. "He suggested Bear or Blu, and I loved them both."

Then again, considering the actress has admitted to pre-chewing food for her child through her own mouth, we can't be too shocked by the odd name choice.

"SAINT LAZSLO" - PETE WENTZ & MEGAN CAMPER

Honestly, we don't know where to start with this one.

Although the baby's name of Saint — which Wentz used long before Kardashian and Wentz did — is a strange choice, it has a beautiful origin story. According to Us Weekly, Wentz and Camper landed on "Saint" because the baby waited to arrive until his tour concluded.

"I was really sure we were going to have to cancel a show, or that he was going to show up, and he didn't," Wentz revealed to Us Weekly in 2014. "That's why Saint ended up happening, which will only be a problem, I feel if he actually became a saint. That would be really weird."
