George and Amal Clooney welcomed their twins in London on Tuesday. A publicist for the two confirmed the news and said: "This morning Amal and George welcomed Alexander and Ella Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander, and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine."

"George is sedated and should recover in a few days," the publicist jokingly added.

The twin babies have not only been getting all the love in world from their parents but from fellow celebrities too who appeared to be more excited after the news. Some of them took to Twitter to express their excitement. The power couple had plenty of well wishers to congratulate them on becoming first time parents. Fans and other social media users also reacted to the news.

Ellen DeGeneres, Katie Couric and several others expressed their feelings after the announcement.

George’s Casamigo Tequila partner and best friend Rande Gerber, shared a funny video of him pushing a dolly of diapers and tequila through the office on Tuesday.

Ella and Alexander are the first children born to Amal and George.

George had recently talked about becoming a first-time dad and also joked about waiting to start a family later in life.

"My favorite part is, you know, all my friends who are my age, and I have many of them, they're already done. Their kids are all grown up and away to college and they are laughing," Clooney said on a French TV show called "Rencontres de Cinema."

"We went out to dinner the other night, and it's a table of eight guys and all their kids are away in college, and we are sitting there and they were all being very supportive, 'Everything is going to be great, you're going to love it,'" Clooney recalled.

"Then it got really quiet, and they all just started making baby crying and the whole table just busted up laughing."

George joked but then he also said he wanted to have a family and appeared to be ready for the new adventure.

"We are really happy and really excited. It's going to be an adventure," he added. "We've sort of embraced it all with arms wide open."

The pair got married in Venice, Italy in 2014 and have been together for two and a half years.

Even after the announcement of her pregnancy, Amal has maintained her position as an advocate for human rights and anti-genocide and made public appearances. Her husband, George also did not do injustice to his role as a public figure and spirits entrepreneur.

In April, sources close to the couple told E! Online that George and Amal had planned to welcome their babies in London. The twins were born at the Kensington Wing of London's Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. The E! Online report also stated that the couple had plans to raise the children in London, at least for the first few years after birth. Sources also mentioned that Amal was likely to maintain a low profile after the twins’ birth.

Few days before the twins were born, the power couple were visited by a special and high-profile friend at their mansion in the English countryside on May 27. Former President Barack Obama visited the pair and stayed there for a couple of hours and left late at night, according to sources, People reported.
