Forbes’ Jay McGregor recently reported that Google confirmed the availability of Feature Drop on Google Pixel Buds. He also clarified that the search engine giant would make sure that the Feature Drops on Pixel Buds would not happen at the same time that as the Pixel smartphone update. “The goal will be to continue to introduce new helpful features over time, much like we do with Pixel phones,” the report added.

While the search engine giant is still mum on the details of the first Pixel Buds Feature Drop, the report considered several areas that might be included in the upcoming update. With the Feature Drop now coming to Pixel Buds, the search engine giant is transforming the wireless earbuds into a more useful accessory in the coming months. Google is known in the industry to use its software to fill in the gap that the hardware lacks. The report also noted that in each Google Pixel Buds Feature Drop, Google would introduce a new Assistant feature, creating a new ability to the wireless earbuds.

The Feature Drop could also Google’s secret weapon against its rivals in the wireless earbuds segment. It is also what the search engine giant meant when it said earlier that the Google Pixel Buds would make sure that it would offer value for money, a feat its rival could not provide. The Feature Drop would not only prolong the life cycle of the wireless earbuds’ battery, but also allow Google to impress Pixel Buds owners.
