A new update revealing some details about the release window and platforms of the incoming "GTA 5" Expanded and Enhanced Edition was recently shared by Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive during its latest earnings call with investors.

According to the video game holding company, the next-generation ports are on track, hinting that the game would meet its scheduled arrival in the second half of this year. The safest bet could be between October and December 2021.

Rockstar Games earlier confirmed that more and new details about "GTA 5" Expanded and Enhanced Edition would be shared in the coming months. These details would be more about the game's official release date, its next-gen platforms and probably new features. Meanwhile, the company did not specifically reveal the release date of "GTA 5" Expanded and Enhanced Edition.

Interestingly, Comicbook speculated that it could release on Sept. 17, which is the game's eighth anniversary. With the game scheduled to arrive in the second half of 2021, fans would definitely hear more about the game as early as the second quarter of the year. Rockstar Games announced "GTA 5" Expanded and Enhanced Edition last Jun. 2020.

During the reveal at Sony's event, the gaming studio released a trailer showing several scenes from "GTA Online," including the single-player campaign. While the said version is for now confirmed to release on PS5, fans believe it will also be available on Microsoft's Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

According to the gaming studio, "GTA 5" Expanded and Enhanced Edition "will feature a range of technical improvements, visual upgrades, and performance enhancements to take full advantage of the latest hardware, making the game more beautiful and more responsive than ever."

"GTA 5" Expanded and Enhanced Edition is currently in development. Rumors have it that Rockstar Games is also working on "Red Dead Redemption Remaster," aside from "GTA 6." Of course, these are all unconfirmed and unofficial. In the absence of confirmation from Rockstar Games, fans should take these details with a pinch of salt.
