KEY POINTS

  • Rockstar Games gives players a chance to earn big with latest "GTA Online" update
  • Players can invest heavily to earn lucrative virtual money on "GTA Online"
  • New mode provides "GTA Online" players some challenge similar to the movie "Speed"

Though there are regions who have started to reopen their economies, there are still some left to quarantine themselves at home. With nothing better to do, some are still turning to online games to keep themselves occupied. And for those who are playing "GTA Online," the latest update should be something worth checking out.

Compared to the real world, clubbing is possible on "GTA Online." And while it may be far from the actual bar or clubhouse visits, Rockstar Games has provided an interesting twist with their latest update for the game. Virtual money is hard to come by on "GTA Online" but gamers get a chance to raise their fortunes. Especially for folks who may own nightclubs or Bike Clubhouses in the game, earn rates are now doubled. But what if a player does not have a club where they can earn some big virtual bucks?

Don't fret. Night clubs, Bike Clubhouses and Biker businesses are at 50 percent off this week, meaning it would be a wise move to invest right now. Aside from that, there are also Business Battles that double rewards. If a player is feeling lucky, checking out The Diamond Casino & Resort could return great prizes. One of the top prizes that can be won is a Declasse Scramjet car. There are also various in-game prizes at stake.

Aside from investments in businesses, there are also big price offs on party-ready vehicles. Among the ones available at lowered prices include The Pegassi Tezeract, Överflöd Tyrant, Imponte Ruiner 2000, Imponte Nightshade and B-11 Strikeforce, all at 40 percent off. If that does not interest gamers, perhaps The Vapid Festival Bus would be great to consider - now offered at 50 percent off.

If waiting for money to come in is boring for some players, they can also try their skills in the game's Hunting Pack (Remix). The mode will see which players can maintain a certain speed despite the presence of cars trying to slow them down. Should the vehicle slow down, it will explode. The whole thing is somehow similar to that movie, "Speed," that featured Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.

"GTA Online" seems to be up and well once more following a recent surge of hackers last May. As mentioned in a previous post, there were droves of new players who joined the game - including hackers. Disruptions were reported, resulting in lag. It appears all that has been resolved although it would be best to be prepared - especially for players who plan to try the Hunting Pack (Remix).
