After the long wait since the wrap-up of the first season of Hunt the Truth, Microsoft and 343 Industries have finally revealed the pilot episode for the second season of the audio series. Fans, who have been following the previous season, would see a couple of changes in the layout of the official Hunt the Truth website.

There is a pre-season two dry-run where FERO is speaking for less than two minutes. This broadcast is considered a big hint on what the second season will be all about -- the mysterious new woman who had provided fictional journalist Benjamin Giraud with enough ammo for an explosive season one.

According to Xbox Wire, the second season will now look into the story from the point of view of one of the more credible sources that Giraud had tapped previously. Giraud is now a discredited journalist, who has started a new revolution that aims to open up the issue for perusal.

“Season 2 will lead directly into the galaxy-shaking mysteries of ‘Halo 5: Guardians,’” said Frank O’Connor in a statement quoted by GameSpot. Perhaps the biggest revelation in the first episode of the new season is that FERO finally revealed her identity, ending the many speculations of fans since her debut in season one.

The previous season had gathered quite the following, thanks to the performances of Keegan Michael Key as Giraud, Cobie Smulders as Petra Janecek and Janina Gavankar as FERO. The newest episode for Hunt the Truth season two is now available for fans to listen to.

Hunt the Truth season two is definitely ramping up the hype for the upcoming “Halo 5: Guardians.” Just recently, Major Nelson revealed via his official blog a new video where he and 343 Industries’ Josh Holmes have unboxed all of the “Halo 5: Guardians” special editions. Each of the editions is beneficial to a different kind of gamer.

For instance, the main difference between the limited edition and the limited collector’s edition lies on when the player would like access to “Halo 5: Guardians.” The most basic collection features a couple of physical items like classified orders, a steelbook and even a copy of the animated series of “Halo: The Fall of Reach.” The additional value for the limited collector’s edition is the presence of the commemoration statue of Master Chief and Spartan Locke as well as a digital copy of the game for pre-downloading starting Oct. 20.

The developer is also offering the “Halo 5: Guardians” Limited Edition Xbox One bundle. This will feature a 1 TB Xbox One custom-designed console that follows the “Halo” design. Apart from bundles, the developer is also offering a few accessories to complete the look.

“Halo 5: Guardians” is set to release on Oct. 27. It will arrive on the Xbox One as an exclusive title.
