  • Hannah Waddingham said Jason Sudeikis changed her life after winning her first Emmy award
  • Evan Peters won his first Emmy award for his performance on "Mare of Easttown"
  • Peters gave Kate Winslet a shoutout in his acceptance speech and thanked the viewers

Hannah Waddingham and Evan Peters were both grateful to their co-stars after each of them won their very first Emmy award.

The "Ted Lasso" star won the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series during the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards Sunday. She played the role of Rebecca Welton in the hit Apple+ series.

When she accepted the award, Waddingham was emotional as she thanked her co-star Jason Sudeikis in her acceptance speech.

"Jason, you've changed my life with this and more importantly my baby girls. Honestly, I'm so privileged to work with you," The 47-year-old actress was quoted by People, as saying.

She also paid a sweet tribute to her parents and the people close to her heart.

"This single mom wouldn't be standing here without you," she added. "West End musical performers need to be on screen more. Please give them a chance cause we won't let you down."

Peters also made his first Emmy win for playing Detective Colin Zabel in the acclaimed HBO drama "Mare of Easttown" starring Kate Winslet. He beat his fellow nominees Anthony Ramos ("Hamilton"), Daveed Diggs ("Hamilton"), Jonathan Groff ("Hamilton"), Paapa Essiedu ("I May Destroy You"), and Thomas Brodie-Sangster ("The Queen's Gambit") in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series category.

"Thank you to the Academy," Peters began his acceptance speech, as per People. "My fellow nominees, you guys were all incredible this year. I got to thank my mom and my dad for getting me out to L.A. You guys were crazy for doing that, but we're gonna drink tonight."

He thanked director Craig Zobel and gave Winslet a shoutout for "being Kate Winslet." He also thanked everyone who supported their show.

"But I especially want to thank everyone who watched this show. This was a dream come true for me tonight and it wouldn't have been possible without you, so thank you," he concluded.

In May, Winslet reflected on her intimate scene with Guy Pearce on "Mare of Easttown." The 45-year-old actress admitted that she was having second thoughts about the sex scenes in the HBO limited series. However, her husband, Edward Abel Smith, encouraged her to do them. Although she did them, the "Titanic" star hinted that it might be the last time she will do nude scenes.

"I think my days are getting a little bit numbered of doing nudity," she told The New York Times. "I’m just not that comfortable doing it anymore. It’s not even really an age thing, actually. There comes a point where people are going to go, 'Oh, here she goes again.'"

The 73rd Emmy Awards hosted by Cedric the Entertainer aired live from 8-11 p.m. ET on CBS.
