New Hampshire police are searching for a visually impaired 7-year-old girl who was last seen in 2019 but reported missing only last week.

Harmony Montgomery was last seen in October 2019 when officers made a service call at a residence in Manchester, Police Chief Allen Aldenberg said in a news conference Monday. The girl was five years old at the time.

However, she was reported missing only last week. The officer described the circumstances surrounding her prolonged absence "concerning," New York Post reported.

"At this time I have dedicated all available resources and personnel to locating Harmony," Aldenberg said. "I encourage anyone to contact the Manchester Police Department with any relevant information which will help us in locating Harmony."

The authorities have also announced a reward of up to $12,500 for information about Montgomery's whereabouts, Cleveland.com reported.

Police describe Montgomery as a 7-year-old white female, who is approximately 4 feet tall, 50 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. She is blind in her right eye and wears glasses.

Police have spoken to several members of the girl's family. The officers, however, refused to reveal any other details as it was an ongoing investigation.

"We need assistance, we need help, and we don't have many answers to many questions that we have," Aldenberg said.

Reports said the girl attended a Massachusetts school and had spent time in foster care.

Police also searched a home on Gilford Street in Manchester, where Montgomery was once seen. The officers have confirmed the current homeowner is not a suspect and that the person has been cooperating with the investigation.

Despite the prolonged absence, Aldenburg believes Montgomery is still alive. "All efforts are focused on that Harmony is alive, and we are going to do everything that we can to find her in that condition," the officer said.
