Christmas arrives in just over two weeks, and most houses are already decked out in decorations; The White House is no exception. HGTV is taking viewers inside the residence with “White House Christmas 2018” on Sunday night.

The National Christmas Tree Lighting happened a couple of weeks ago, but now it’s time to see all of the Christmas trees, lights, ornaments and more inside the White House.

“Thousands of dazzling lights, festive cranberry topiaries and the magnificent 18-foot-tall official Fraser Fir Christmas tree take center stage,” according to a press release for the broadcast. “During the HGTV special…cameras follow designer and home renovation star Alison Victoria, White House staff and volunteers on an exclusive room-by-room tour of the iconic home’s holiday transformation.”

The theme for the décor this year is American Treasures, which aims to pay tribute to the heritage of the United States. “For example, the Blue Room tree is dressed in more than 500 feet of blue velvet ribbon with each state and territory name embroidered in gold,” the press release reveals. “As part of the special, Alison chats with volunteers and helps hang ornaments, arrange garlands and spray edible snow on the famed gingerbread replica of the White House.”

Check out “White House Christmas 2018” when it airs on HGTV on Sunday at 6 p.m. EST. If you don’t want to, or can’t, catch the showing live on TV, it’ll be available to watch on demand and on the HGTV app.
