Lyra Belacqua (Dafne Keen) will finally meet the bear Iorek Byrnison (Voice by Joe Tandberg) in “His Dark Materials” episode 4. A preview video of the next episode has been released online that teases some of the scenes and major events.

After starting a dangerous journey to the north, Lyra knows that she will face unimaginable horrors. What she needs is some powerful allies who can help her in the coming war.

A preview video of the next episode shows a polar bear who can be a powerful ally. Lyra will find Iorek Byrnison in a small town called Trollesund. She will be warned against trusting a “savage,” but that will not stop her from winning over new friends and recruiting powerful allies to his cause.

The Magisterium is too powerful for a “weak” girl like Lyra to take down on her own. However, she will get her chance when the war begins. The Gyptians will prepare to go to war in “His Dark Materials” episode 4 in order to get back their missing children.

One celebrity who has been watching the TV series is Dakota Blue Richards, who played the role of Lyra Belacqua in the movie “The Golden Compass.” In a podcast about the show, Richards praised Keen for bringing “maturity” to the role.

Richards pointed out that she was around 11 or 12 when she played the role and Keen is 14, which “makes a world of difference.” “The Golden Compass” actress added that Keen is a “professional actress” who has proven her talent before joining the show.

Apart from Lyra, the show will also follow what happens with Mrs. Coulter (Ruth Wilson) very closely. Executive Producer Jane Tranter told Entertainment Weekly recently that in the upcoming episodes the fans will see what the character was doing after Lyra runs away, which is something that the fans will not find in the Philip Pullman’s novels.

“His Dark Materials” episode 4 will air on Nov. 25 at 9 p.m. EST on HBO.
