It appears “Horizon Zero Dawn” fans will soon get a story expansion for the action RPG. Developer Guerrilla Games just confirmed this following the PS4-exclusive title’s global success.

On Thursday, some of the higher-ups in Guerrilla Games opened up about the impressive feat “Horizon Zero Dawn” achieved just weeks after its launch last Feb. 28. The company’s managing director Hermen Hulst was the one who announced that the team is already working on a story expansion for the new game.

“This is only the beginning of Aloy’s story and our exploration of the world of Horizon Zero Dawn, with the team already hard at work on an expansion to the story,” Hulst said in a press release published on Guerrilla’s website. He also admitted that they are elated by the response critics and players are giving their new RPG. “Developing the game was a labor of love, so it’s extremely satisfying to see that it elicits the same passion and enthusiasm from the gaming public that we felt during its development.”

“Horizon Zero Dawn” proved to be a success this Thursday after selling 2.6 million units worldwide in the first two weeks since its release. The whopping figure is said to comprise physical copies and digital units sold through the PlayStation Store, according to GameSpot.

“We knew Horizon Zero Dawn was going to be something special, so to see the incredible critical reaction to a brand new game world translate into this level of sales is really gratifying,” Chairman of SIE Worldwide Studios Shawn Layden said. Layden also praised Guerrilla for making such an exceptional game that keeps consumers interested for long hours.

Horizon Zero Dawn” follows the adventure of a young hunter Aloy who is on a quest to discover her destiny. It is set in a post-apocalyptic world that is inhabited by mechanized creatures for mankind is no longer the dominant species.
