Johnny Depp’s exes, Winona Ryder, Vanessa Paradis and Lori Anne Allison, did not experience any abuse from the actor unlike Amber Heard who alleged that he was violent and abusive.

Depp and Heard’s controversial split made headlines again after the latter’s audio recording admitting that she hit the former leaked. Many reacted because when they parted ways, Heard accused Depp of physically hurting. Due to this, we revisited the statements from Depp’s exes before Heard.

His first wife Allison told friends that she didn’t believe Heard’s claim. Allison said that Depp never got physical with her when they were still together and he never raised his voice at her. She even called the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor a “soft person” who is very kind to the animals, TMZ reported.

Allison and Depp had a dog during their marriage and he was very loving with the pooch. The exes remain good friends after their split and she even spoke to him to offer condolences following his mother’s death.

Depp’s other ex-wife, Vanessa Paradis, shared the same opinion as Allison. She came at Depp’s defense by writing a letter to TMZ refuting Heard’s domestic violence allegations against the actor and even calling it “outrageous”. Paradis stated that Depp is the father of her two children and he is a “sensitive” and “loving person.”

“In all the years I have known Johnny, he has never been physically abusive with me and this looks nothing like the man I live with for 14 wonderful years,” she wrote.

Ryder was also one of the women in Depp’s lives. She was engaged to him for three years. The “Beetlejuice” actress also said that she never experienced any abuse from the actor and found Heard’s allegations “shocking” because she never saw Depp being violent toward anyone before.

“I can only speak from my own experience, which was wildly different than what is being said,” Ryder told Time Magazine . “He was never, never that way towards me. Never abusive at all towards me. I only know him as a really good, loving, caring guy who is very, very protective of the people that he loves.”

Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose also defended him. In a post on Instagram, she described her dad as the “sweetest and most loving person” she knows. She added that Depp is “nothing but a wonderful father” to her and her little brother.

Meanwhile, Perez Hilton issued an apology to Depp. According to him, he was sorry for believing Heard and not the other women in Depp’s life.
