Meghan Markle has been criticized ever since she joined the royal family. And things got even worse for the Duchess of Sussex after she gave birth to her son, Archie.

But according to a royal expert, the criticisms thrown at Prince Harry’s wife is not really about her per se. Rather, it’s about those people who are jealous of her.

While speaking with Express, royal expert Jamie Sarah claimed that Markle has been the subject of criticism on social media simply because the public is jealous of her.

“Similarly, to the Duchess of Sussex, many of my clients are in high profile executive roles and have to face judgment and jealousy on a regular basis, so I am well accustomed to support women who experience jealousy and judgment. The first thing that I highlight is that the judgment they receive is not about them - it’s about other people’s insecurities and ideals,” she said.

Sarah went on to say that a lot of people judge themselves on a daily basis so they also tend to do the same to those around them. This trend is called judgment epidemic.

“The reality is that most celebrities and figures in the public eye are judged with a fine-tooth comb and face harsh criticism - especially someone in the Royal Family,” she said.

Sarah also used Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson as an example. She said that the two female royals were also criticized nonstop decades ago. The same thing happened to Markle after her relationship with Prince Harry became public.

But unlike the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of York, it seems that the Duchess of Sussex is experiencing the worst form of judgment. And after Markle became a mother, the public’s jealousy towards her increased as well.

Sarah said that there is a growing trend of increased jealousy that comes from motherhood. By the looks of it, once a woman becomes a mother, she is considered fair game for any and all criticisms.
