  • Pisano said they "fully accept" the consequences of their actions and tweets

The fashion influencer who started the rumor that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky had called it quits due to infidelity has issued a public apology to the stars.

Louis Pisano, a fashion writer and social media influencer who uses they/them pronouns, released a statement on social media apologizing to all the parties involved in the Rihanna-A$AP Rocky split and cheating rumors.

Earlier this week, Pisano claimed in since-deleted tweets that the pregnant singer broke up with the rapper after she caught him cheating on her with shoe designer Amina Muaddi, who has worked with both Rihanna and Rocky.

Pisano admitted Friday that they didn't verify the claims they heard from a source they declined to name before tweeting them out.

"Hi all, so I'd like to address the situation," the influencer began their statement posted on Twitter. "Last night, I made a dumb decision to tweet some information I had received. I'm not going to talk about sources, blame others for a discussion that was started, etc., because at the end of the day I made the decision to draft the tweet, press send and put that out with my name on it."

They continued, "I'd like to formally apologize to all parties I involved with my actions and for my reckless tweets. I fully accept the consequences of my actions for my tweets and any harm they caused."

Pisano acknowledged that they have "no excuse" for what they did and confessed that they have been "way too wrapped up in Twitter drama and unfortunately leaned into being messy as a brand." The fashion writer vowed to "move away" from this going forward.

Pisano then announced that they will take a break from the social media platform following the controversy they started.

"I'm going to take some time away from Twitter to figure out what that looks like and how I can start using my platforms better as I've gotten away from using them for more positive work," they wrote, before concluding their statement with another apology.

"Again, I apologize to them for this unnecessary drama," Pisano wrote.

Muaddi, who was accused of being the third party in Rihanna and Rocky's rumored split, broke her silence on the rumors Friday and slammed the allegations as an "unfounded lie."

The shoe designer behind the Fenty 2020 collection issued a statement on her Instagram Story denying any involvement with Rocky.

"I've always believed that an unfounded lie spread on social media doesn't deserve any response or clarification, especially one that is so vile," she said. "I initially assumed that this fake gossip — fabricated with such malicious intent — would not be taken seriously."

"However, in the last 24 hours, I've been reminded that we live in a society that is so quick to speak on topics regardless of factual basis and that nothing is off-limits. Not even during what should be one of the most beautiful and celebrated times in one's life," Muaddi continued, apparently referring to Rihanna's pregnancy.

Rihanna and Rocky have not publicly addressed the split and cheating rumors, but they were recently spotted landing in the "Work" singer's home country of Barbados.

The couple was seen arriving at Grantly Adams International Airport in the Caribbean country Friday night in footage obtained by The Shade Room.
