  • Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are trending on Twitter after unverified rumors that they've split surfaced online
  • A fashion influencer claimed Rihanna allegedly caught the rapper cheating on her with Fenty footwear designer Amina Muaddi
  • None of the claims have been verified by Rihanna or her team

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky became the no. 1 trend on social media Thursday amid rumors that they have split.

Allegations surfaced and spread online that Rihanna, who is pregnant with her first child with Rocky, caught the rapper cheating on her with Fenty footwear designer Amina Muaddi and broke up with him, Just Jared reported.

The breakup and cheating rumors seemed to have been spread on Twitter by fashion influencer @LOUIS_via_ROMA, according to the outlet.

"Rihanna & ASAP Rocky have split. Rihanna broke up with him after she caught him cheating with shoe designer Amina Muaddi," he tweeted. "Amina was responsible for designing Fenty’s footwear offering, and Rihanna is often seen in custom shoes from her own label."

He further claimed, "ASAP & Amina is not new though as she was seeing him years ago and also collaborated with him on a collection of shoes. Things apparently hit the fan at [Craig's] in L.A."

None of the claims have been verified by Rihanna or her team, and the couple has not released any statement addressing the rumors. International Business Times could not independently verify the information.

Rihanna and Rocky were last spotted together on April 1 while having lunch at Craig's in West Hollywood.

In photos published by Daily Mail, the couple held hands as they walked to the restaurant and wore matching green and white trucker hats with "AWGE" on them, which is the name of the rapper's creative agency. She also sported a white graphic T-shirt, which had the words "Dat's (sic) ... my baby daddy" on it.

Earlier this week, Rihanna was seen wearing shoes designed by Muaddi. The designer reposted photos of the singer just hours before the rumors surfaced, Just Jared noted.

Though the split is just speculation at this point, this hasn't stopped fans from sharing their thoughts about it on Twitter.

"If Rihanna and A$AP split, love isn't real," one person tweeted with a crying emoji.

"Man, I typically don’t care about people gossip, but if Rihanna and A$AP split, I'm about to lose all faith in people and my heart is in shambles. I mean, damn. The kid ain't even here yet," another user wrote.

Some seemed to believe there is no truth to the rumors, while others appear to be waiting for Rihanna or Rocky to address the claims.

"Twitter, did they really split or are we making it up? It seems like this all came from Rihanna unfollowing a Fenty designer. How does that mean they split? Or that A$AP cheated?" one user wondered.

"I still think it's a lie though," another tweeted.

"They didn’t split. Just [because] they aren’t seen together in public does not mean they've called it quits. A$AP + Rihanna are a match made in love heaven," a fan wrote.

Rihanna and Rocky revealed in January that they are expecting their first child together with photos taken in the rapper's neighborhood of Harlem.

The Fenty Beauty mogul recently opened up about her relationship with Rocky during an interview with Vogue for its May cover story. While discussing how her friendship with the rapper developed into a romance, the "Diamonds" singer said, "People don’t get out of the friend zone very easily with me."

She shared that it took a while for them to get over how much they knew each other because they also knew "how much trouble we can land each other in."

Rihanna also said that her boyfriend became family to her during the pandemic and that there is no pretentious in their relationship. "I just feel like I can do any part of life by his side," she explained.
