With just days until the premiere of “Insurgent,” actors Theo James and Shailene Woodley are leaning heavily on the one thing that they think will bring people to the theater – the action. At the New York premiere of the highly anticipated sequel to last year’s young adult novel adaptation, “Divergent,” Entertainment Tonight caught up with the stars to ask about what’s different this time around.

"It's always exciting to come back the second time," James, who plays Four, said. "You get to do things that you didn't have the opportunity the first time. And hopefully you get to kind of make a bigger movie than you did the first time as well."

The actor went on to joke that upping the action in the sequel meant a lot more sweating on the part of the actors. Woodley chimed in saying that she’s excited to expand this storied universe and give fans a different and unique experience with this new film.

“It’s exciting though,” the 23-year-old said of the cadre of fans gathered at the premiere. “It’s nice for us to know that people are fans of the movie and we’re thrilled to share this new one with them.”

Despite hyping up the action in “Insurgent,” Woodley recently spoke to People Magazine saying that this movie was significantly less physically taxing on her.

“[In] the first movie, we did a lot of choreography and fight training, and this one was basic sort of fitness – there wasn’t anything too intense,” she said. However, that doesn’t meant that “Insurgent” is going to be a watered down action movie compared to the first.

As seen in the film’s first trailer, the villain Jeanine Matthews (Kate Winslet) manages to pit Woodley’s character, Tris, against a mirror clone of herself. So, while a scene like that was likely not as physically draining to shoot – it will certainly translate to an intense action sequence for fans who pay full ticket price to see the divergents from the first movie back in battle.

In fact, even Winslet herself is excited to see the new and intense throw downs in this movie – even if she doesn’t get to be a part of as many as she’d like.

“You know, I do actually wish there had been more fighting with this one,” she said in an interview with Time. “Only because, when we were shooting ‘Divergent,’ I was actually pregnant and didn’t have a huge amount of physical strength.”

The 39-year-old actress went on to say that she would have enjoyed throwing more punches in her co-star’s direction but, ultimately, she prefers hugging her to hitting her.

The action-packed sequel, “Insurgent,” hits theaters on March 20. In the meantime, fans can check out the trailer below or some of these fantastic clips.
