The first “Pokemon Sword and Shield” expansion pass, “Isle of Armor,” is coming soon. The expansion will release today, June 17, and The Pokemon Company has revealed that more information will be made available through a special presentation to celebrate the launch.

According to Game Rant, the video will cover both expansion packs – the “Isle of Armor” and “Crown Tundra” DLCs, with “Tundra” coming in at a later date. The contents of this presentation are unclear, but the video will run for 11 minutes and will cover both DLCs.

With the “Isle of Armor” DLC set to arrive, the video will likely delve on more content that is included with “Armor.”

Information on this DLC has been masterfully released to culminate with its launch. Fans of “Pokemon Sword and Shield” has been treated to a DLC release date trailer, which has been the best source of information for Pokemon fans excited about new content. This presentation should top that, with information about new Pokemon possibly included, as well as what to expect with the new area.

Here's a closer look at other details that came in from past trailers. The titular island is home to different Pokemon, some of which are returning and most that have exciting new forms. The game will play host to the newly discovered Galarian Slowbro, among others.

On the island, there are also new characters, introducing the chief who is the former Pokemon League Champion and trainer’s trainer, Mustard.

A new legendary, Kubfu, is also introduced. Players will then embark on a journey that will take them to either the Tower of Waters or the Tower of Darkness. These two towers are key to the evolution of Kubfu, as bringing it to one or the other will cause it to evolve into one of two forms – Single Strike Style Urshifu or Rapid Style Urshifu.

There are plenty of older Pokemon which make their return through the Expansion Pass as well. For instance, two of the three originals – Venusaur and Blastoise – will make their returns with powerful Gigantamax forms included.
