  • Teresa Giudice previously spread a rumor that Jackie Goldschneider's husband was cheating on her at the gym

  • She is still rooting for Giudice as her co-star prepares to tie the knot for the second time

Jackie Goldschneider got her revenge when the alleged sordid past of Teresa Giudice's now-fiancé Luis Ruelas emerged earlier this year.

During the last season of "Real Housewives of New Jersey," Giudice, 49, spread a rumor that her co-star's husband, Evan, was allegedly cheating on Goldschneider, 45, at the gym, forcing the latter to defend her husband against the claims.

But Goldschneider told Page Six Thursday that "karma" came for Giudice when reports of Ruelas' past legal and relationship troubles surfaced earlier this year.

"I feel like karma kind of came right in and did a little work, and I just got to sit back," Goldschneider said in the interview, which took place moments before news of Giudice's Greece engagement to Ruelas broke. "Teresa clearly spread a rumor [about me and my family], and now there’s a barrage of rumors about the person that she loves."

While she insisted that she doesn't "want anything bad" for her co-star, Goldschneider noted that Giudice is "getting a taste of" how she felt when the latter spread false claims about her husband.

Page Six reported in April that Ruelas’ ex-fiancée Vanessa Reiser took legal action against him when their relationship ended in 2020. Reiser claimed that the businessman would be enraged if they didn't have enough sex. The lawsuit was eventually settled out of court for undisclosed terms.

It was also reported that Ruelas was charged with simple assault following an alleged road rage incident in New Jersey in 2018, a police report said.

When asked about Giudice and Ruelas' relationship, Goldschneider said that she is rooting for her co-star as she prepares to tie the knot for the second time. Giudice was previously married to Joe Giudice for 20 years, and their divorce was finalized in September last year.

"For me, I don’t know how comfortable I would be if there were a lot of stories about someone’s past. But people change, so I don’t know," the former litigator explained. "[Teresa is] the one that knows him better than anyone, so you have to trust her judgment."

Goldschneider also teased that fans will see "a less explosive Teresa" in the next installment of "RHONJ."

Meanwhile, Giudice's brother Joe Gorga was thrilled after learning that his sister had gotten engaged with Ruelas after a little over a year of dating.

"[Luis] came in like what she needed. She needed that Superman to come in and take her life and fix it, and that’s what he’s doing," Gorga told Us Weekly Thursday, adding that he cried after hearing the news.

Giudice and Ruelas got engaged Tuesday while vacationing in Greece. The businessman's proposal included candles, roses, a violinist and fireworks, according to Us Weekly.
