  • Jacob Elordi suggested that Taylor Zakhar Perez’s Marco should leave Joey King's Elle alone
  • "The Kissing Booth 2" ended with several cliffhangers involving Elle
  • "The Kissing Booth 3" is the final installment of the movie series and will be coming out in 2021

Jacob Elordi spoke about "Kissing Booth" before Netflix confirmed the third and final installment, and he offered unsolicited advice to Taylor Zakhar Perez’s Marco.

Elordi spoke about the cliffhangers in "Kissing Booth 2" with Entertainment Tonight and didn't confirm "Kissing Booth 3" because at the time, Netflix has yet to officially announce it. During the interview, Elordi sounded ready to move on from the series while giving his own opinion about Perez's character, Marco.

"So many of these things end with cliffhangers, you kind of leave it up for interpretation. Myself personally, I don't know what I'm doing after this phone call, so [I'm] not sure how to answer [if I'll be in a third movie]... I have no idea," Elordi told ET.

The cliffhanger Elordi was talking about refers to the final scene in "Kissing Booth 2" that seems to suggest that Marco still has plans to pursue Elle (Joey King) when he said, "She's worth it." However, Elordi said that his on-screen rival should just let it go and leave Elle alone.

"I feel like if you get told no, you should take the no, you know?" Elordi said.

"Take the L, man, give up. Like, leave her alone, you know?”

Noah (Elordi) and Elle started dating in the first movie. Their relationship was tested in “Kissing Booth 2” when Elle started doubting Noah.

Marco was the new kid in school who became Elle’s partner in a dance competition after her best friend Lee (Joel Courtney) got injured from their practice and continued to act like he was still injured to have time with his girlfriend, Rachel (Meganne Young).

Rachel made Lee choose between her and his best friend, Elle. He didn't want to lose either, so he made his injury an excuse to be with Rachel and asked Marco to be Elle's partner in the competition. Elle kissed Marco after their performance and later saw Noah watching them among the audience. She chased Noah, who walked out after the kiss, and rejected Marco, who ran after her to clarify their feelings for each other.

Aside from the love triangle, King's character will be torn between her boyfriend and best friend when it comes to choosing a university to attend to in college.

"Kissing Booth 2" ended with Elle being accepted to Harvard and Berkley. Elle and Lee (Joel Courtney) had agreed that they would attend Berkley together after learning that it was where there moms became best friends. However, Elle seemed to have changed her mind when Noah asked her to join him in Harvard, instead.

Kissing Booth 3” is the last installment of the movie series. It’s already in post-production and will be coming out in 2021.
