James Gunn shared a photo from the newly dropped episode of "Peacemaker" featuring actress Elizabeth Ludlow and noted that he had no idea she was also featured in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," when he cast her in the new show.

The 55-year-old director noted that he couldn't recognize her due to her makeup in the second installment of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."

"Appreciation tweet for @ElizabethLudlow," Gunn tweeted Sunday along with Ludlow's screenshot. "She played an alien in GotG Vol 2 but she wore makeup so I didn’t recognize her until after I cast her as Keeya!"

Fans took to the comments section to share their reactions.

One of the fans asked, "She was that alien mother running with her child from the expansion, right?" to which Gunn replied, "Yes."

A fan praised the director for his work, "James Gunn, your movies are amazing, and this show has really surprised me, thank you for amazing entertainment," while another fan praised the actress, "That show the true talent she has."

This is not the first time when Gunn worked with the same actors in different movies. Previously, he hired Nathan Fillion, Michael Rooker, and Sean Gunn in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" franchise and in "The Suicide Squad."

In fact, "Peacemaker" star Chukwudi Iwuji teased his appearance in the Marvel movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" last week.

Iwuji appeared in the fourth episode of "Peacemaker" that dropped on Jan. 20 and is titled, "The Choad Less Traveled." The actor played Clemson Murn's character, who is a ruthless mercenary.

Considering "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," Gunn revealed last year that he is going to make "something beautiful." The movie stars Dave Bautista, Chris Pratt, Will Poulter, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Zoe Saldana and Sean Gunn. It is slated to release on May 23, 2023.

On the work front, the director is currently filming, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," and will drop his series, "The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special" in December this year.
