Jamie Lee Curtis opened up about her late mother, actress Janet Leigh, noting that she would have been really upset about the #MeToo movement.

Speaking with actress Melanie Griffith, 64, on Interview Friday, Curtis, 62, noted that her mother would have never "acknowledged if there was any bad behavior. She was, it's a bad term, but kind of Pollyannaish about the industry."

Curtis and Griffith, both actresses opened up about their mothers working with film director Alfred Hitchcock. Leigh worked with the director in 1960's "Psycho" while Griffith's mother, actress Tippi Hedren worked with Hitchcock in 1963's "The Birds."

Curtis further noted how the #MeToo movement - that encourages women to speak up against sexual abuse and sexual harassment - would have "really upset" her mother. Although she admitted that it's not "fair" to speak on her behalf considering she is no more. Leigh died in 2004.

"But knowing her, I think she would not say that he [Hitchcock] misbehaved in any way," she explained. "But it's interesting that maybe our mothers were in competition with each other."

According to Curtis, her mother was grateful for the work she got and she would never acknowledge any abuse.

"I don't think Janet would ever have acknowledged anything because, from her standpoint, she was just grateful. That was very much her take. I think she would have looked at it as, 'That was just the way it was,'" she added.

Griffith, on the other hand, noted how her mother went through a hard time because of the director. "He got very psychologically crazy with her and she couldn’t take it. I mean good for her, she stood up, but it really affected her career," she told Curtis.

Hedren, 91, opened up about working with Hitchcock in 2013. "Hitchcock was responsible for both starting my career and ending it," the actress told Pilot Online.

On the work front, Curtis was recently featured in David Gordon Green's movie, "Halloween Kills," which was released on Oct. 16. She will be next seen in a movie titled, "Everything Everywhere All at Once."

Griffith, on the other hand, will feature in a drama movie, "Akil," which is currently under development.
