Jason Bateman became a father for the second time as his wife, Amanda Anka, just gave birth to a baby girl named Maple Sylvie last Friday, Feb. 10th. The couple already has a five-year-old daughter, Francesca.
The Washington Post reports that the name Maple represents the tree, while Sylvie means woods or forest. Bateman and his wife have been married since July 2001. Jason Bateman credits his wife Amanda with turning his life around. The Arrested Development star used to be a heavy drinker, and a frequent partygoer.
