Jennifer Aniston is having an incredible year.

The “Murder Mystery” actress has a successful 2019 despite the different rumors involving her. Aniston is plagued with various speculations still linking her to ex-husband Brad Pitt. A dubious report even claimed that she had a breakdown after learning that Pitt is dating Alia Shawkat, which is not true.

NW also reported that Aniston was having a midlife crisis due to the results of stress and aging. The actress was allegedly worried about looking old in their planned “Friends” reunion on HBO Max.

Despite all of these, Aniston has a lot to celebrate according to People. Here are some of the reasons why Aniston has an incredible year.

1. Netflix record-breaker

Aniston and Adam Sandler’s “Murder Mystery” was a huge hit. In fact, it was a total success, breaking a record for biggest opening weekend for Netflix after being watched by 30.8 million accounts.

2. She broke Instagram

Aside from dominating Netflix with her film, Aniston literally broke Instagram when she joined the social media platform in October. The resulting traffic forced the site to temporarily go down. She also broke Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s record of reaching 1 million followers in just over five hours.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex gained over a million followers for about the same time. However, Aniston gained more in a shorter span of time.

3. People’s Icon Award

This year, Aniston was recognized at the 2019 People’s Choice Awards where she received the People’s Icon Award. The actress recognized her role on “Friends” in her speech.

“If I have any claim to this word ‘icon,’ it’s only because I was able to be on an iconic show, with an iconic cast, and an iconic haircut,” Aniston said.

“’Friends’ was truly — it was the gift of a lifetime, and I would not be standing up here without that amazing show, without those amazing five other actors, and with an audience who stuck with us … You believed in us, you really did, and you believed in those very impossibly large apartments.”

Aniston is joining Ellen DeGeneres’ “Ellen’s Great Night of Giveaways” which will air on Dec. 10 to 12 on NBC. The host’s famous friends including Michelle Obama, Justin Timberlake, Robert Downey Jr., Melissa McCarthy and more are also part of the special.
