  • Garner didn't watch the "Alias" final episode because she finds goodbyes “hard”
  • "Schitt's Creek" aired its finale in April after six seasons

Jennifer Garner interviewed the "Schitt's Creek" stars and the "Miracles from Heaven" actress got emotional when they talked about series finales as she admitted that she hasn’t watched the final episode of “Alias.”

On Thursday, Garner shared a clip of the interview she moderated with "Schitt's Creek" stars Dan and Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara and Annie Murphy on Instagram. Dan, who co-created the series with his dad, Eugene, opened up about the emotional toll series finales bring and mentioned Garner's series “Alias” that aired on ABC from 2001 to 2006. This prompted the Hollywood actress to reveal that she hasn’t watched her show’s final episode because she also finds goodbyes “hard.”

"I can hardly watch last episodes of shows because goodbyes are so hard. I've never seen the final episode of ‘Alias’ because I say goodbye to Victor [Garber] in it and I can't take it," Garner said.

"But your show really did that for me too," she continued.

"Oh my gosh, I'm going to have to call him," Garner added while fighting back tears.

Dan then asked Garner if her final day on set had been emotional. The "Peppermint" star was too emotional to speak at that point that she simply nodded.

"Dan, change the topic," Murphy quipped after seeing Garner's emotional state.

Neverthelesss, Garner still responded and recalled her final day on set. She said it was "okay" and shared how she hugged every single person on the show’s set and thanked them.

Prior to Garner’s revelation, Dan shared how he felt while shooting the last episode of their show and got candid on how the series “Alias” moved him.

"I feel like all of us on this chat know now what it's like to shoot a last episode of a series, and a series that was quite definitive. I lived and breathed for 'Alias', that's just a sidebar. Hopefully one day I can tell you about my feelings and my love for it and how it shaped my life in 1,000 ways," he said.

"I remember watching the finale of ‘Friends’ and you're kind of watching these people [whose] whole lives had changed by way of this show. Part of the joy and excitement of watching that last episode is trying to discern, is it the character or is it the actor? The beauty of it is that it's both," he continued.

“Schitt's Creek” ran for six seasons and aired its final episode “Happy Ending” on Pop TV in April.
