Jessie J has apologized to Nicki Minaj after the rapper blasted the singer’s version of events surrounding the creation of their song “Bang Bang.”

The collaborators made headlines this week after Minaj denied the claims made by Jessie in a recent interview that the rapper asked to take part in the 2014 track, which also featured Ariana Grande.

Addressing Minaj's comments, the "Flashlight" singer took to Instagram Friday to clear the air and post a lengthy apology note for the misunderstanding. "I respect you publicly being yourself @nickiminaj," Jessie wrote. "So here I am being myself."

The "Price Tag" hitmaker shared a meme of herself and brought up the "funny" moment Minaj used her as a "stair rail" during their 2014 American Music Awards performance.

"If we can't laugh in the lives we have been blessed with. What's the point. It really isn't that deep," Jessie wrote. "From the moment I met you to now I have shown you nothing but love and gratitude for how f***ing blessed I was to have you and @arianagrande who btw wrote Bang Bang with the insanely talented Max Martin which I found out today. Jesus. What a day. Sorry Ari. I never knew. Wild. 'I felt like I had won a competition' did back then and still do now."

The singer chalked up the mix-up to someone from her label "gassing me up," explaining, "I'm the first person to admit Bang Bang would NEVER have been what it was without you guys."

"I'm sorry I got the story wrong all these years, I was told you heard the song and wanted to be on it by someone clearly gassing me up at the label. (Bless them and my naive a--)," she added. "Thank you for clarifying I was wrong on that and Do it like dude. Told me huh."

The British artist went on to propose a dinner to celebrate the track's seventh anniversary or another collaboration for a "Bang Bang Part Two." Jessie also suggested a "Do It Like a Dude" remix.

"Look, the song did it’s damn thing. I will never say you asked to be on the song ever again. Although all this drama means memes and man have the memes of me have kept me entertained all day. Swipe for a good old laugh," she wrote, adding, "Always love and light from me babes."

The drama started when Jessie claimed in an interview with Glamour that after she and Grande jumped on the song, Minaj listened to "Bang Bang" in the studio and said, "I've got to jump on this."

"We didn't go to her and ask; she wanted to do it," she told the outlet. "I'll never forget: I was in my bedroom in my flat in London, and I got sent the verse with Nicki on it. I just sat at the end of my bed holding my phone, staring at the floor, going, 'How the f–k did I get this?'"

In her response, Minaj shared a snap of Jessie J's statement and refuted her claims.

"Babe @JessieJ I didn’t hear the song & ask 2get on it,” the rapper wrote on Twitter. "The label asked me2get on it & paid me."

"How would I have heard the song? Chiiille what am I the damn song monitor? Snoopin around for songs chile." she tweeted, adding "Loveu" and a kiss-face emoji.
