A number of celebrities were not happy with President Donald Trump’s recent press conference.

On Tuesday, Trump had a conference that was intended for infrastructure. However, the subject quickly turned into the white nationalist demonstration that happened in Charlottesville, Virginia, over the weekend.

Initially, Trump was criticized for taking two days to condemn the white supremacists and hate groups like KKK in a protest where one woman was killed and 20 were injured, Entertainment Tonight reported. Things got worse when the president reasoned out that he waited for the facts to make a statement.

“The statement I made on Saturday, the first statement, was a fine statement, but you don’t make statements that direct unless you know the facts. And it takes a little while to get the facts,” Trump said. “You still don’t know the facts. And it is a very, very important process to me. It is a very important statement. So I don’t want to go quickly and just make a statement for the sake of making a political statement. I want to know the facts.”

Trump also added that both parties were being savage, but blamed the “alt-left” counter-demonstrators for being “very very violent.” He also noted that most protesters were there to protest the taking down of Robert E. Lee’s statue.

However, a number of celebrities did not take Trump’s words well. His celebrity critics immediately fired at him on Twitter.

“One of the most transparent lies Trump told today is that he likes to wait for the facts before he makes a statement. Hahahahahaahaha,” John Legend wrote.

Chris Evans, who has been open about his disgust to the president, also aimed at Trump on Twitter. “Seriously. EVERYONE needs to watch that press conference in its entirety. He does everything flawlessly wrong. It’s a stunning disaster,” said the “Captain America: Civil War” star.

“W/o a prepared statement, this Pres says what he really believes: Equating neo-Nazis to those protecting civil rights is disgraceful & crazy,” singer Barbara Streisand wrote on Twitter. Meanwhile, Deray McKesson was convinced that Trump defended the white supremacist march on Friday.

On the other hand, Cleveland Cavaliers star player LeBron James did not agree with Trump that the issue has something to do with the statue. “Hate has always existed in America. Yes we know that but Donald Trump just made it fashionable again! Statues has nothing to do with us now!” the NBA superstar wrote.
