Kate Middleton didn’t wear shalwar kameez, but she was praised for looking good during Pakistan arrival.

On Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge kicked off their tour to Pakistan. Middleton, who was expected to channel Princess Diana, didn’t disappoint royal fans when she arrived in Pakistan wearing a blue ombre outfit similar to her late mother-in-law's.

“Kate Middleton channelled Princess Diana's style on #RoyalVisitPakistan. Kate looked elegant in a turquoise shalwar kameez by Catherine Walker, one of Diana's favourite designers. The look was similar to an ensemble Diana wore during her visit to Pakistan in 1996,” Sana Jamal wrote on Twitter.

One said that Middleton is trying to adapt Pakistani dress and she is carrying it well. The netizen added that Middleton is fully covered unlike Pakistani girls these days.

The majority agreed that Middleton looked gorgeous, elegant and classic in her outfit. One said that Prince William’s wife is “perfectly dressed” because there was no cleavage, upper thigh, or tongue sticking out. “So glad to see how real royal conduct themselves,” the online user added.

However, several netizens reacted and pointed out that Middleton was not wearing a shalwar kameez. According to one, “Kate isn’t wearing a shalwar, she is wearing cigarette-pants."

"The woman in the picture below is wearing a shalwar,” one netizen wrote while sharing a photo of a girl wearing the traditional costume.

“Thats not a shalwar kameez. Do some research!” a different netizen wrote.

According to Charlie Proctor, Middleton was briefed on a dress code. She was reportedly advised to wear a loose-fitting headscarf especially when visiting a mosque during tours.

In related news, throwback photos of Middleton’s hottest pictures have resurfaced. In the snaps, Middleton is with her brother-in-law Prince Harry. According to an online user, those shots were among her hottest pictures because the duchess looked stunning. However, those were also the saddest times because those days were gone since Prince Harry is no longer seen as often as before with his brother and sister-in-law after marrying Meghan Markle.
