Kate Middleton knows how to dress up well for a theme party.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently met with members of the 1st Menai Bridge Scout Group where she used to volunteer. An old friend of Middleton's was so pleased after seeing her and shared his best recollection with the future queen consort.

“She really got stuck in with us and the children and, when we had a James Bond-themed party, she made a very attractive Miss Moneypenny,” Malcolm Rogers, a Scout leader, said.

“She told us today how much she enjoyed volunteering with us,” he added.

Miss Moneypenny’s role in the iconic franchise doesn’t stretch beyond a short exchange with the rugged spy. She is the secretary to Bond’s superior officer M at M16 and shares a relationship with 007. However, their romantic scenes never make it beyond the walls of the office, so Miss Moneypenny was never considered a Bond girl.

Sue Hesketh, the group’s Cub leader revealed that some of the children got told off when they told their parents that the Duchess of Cambridge had become a helper. Most parents thought that they were just fibbing.

When they met Middleton, the royal told them that it was nice to see them again and she was delighted that they were still involved in scouting. Prince William was also very pleased to meet them because he heard a lot about them.

In related news, Middleton just recently wore Princess Diana’s $45,000 earrings when she and Prince William launched the King’s Cup Regatta at Cutty Sark, Greenwich. Middleton paired her accessory with a nautical look to fit the event.

Earlier, there were rumors that Queen Elizabeth II has banned Meghan Markle from using the items in her collection. The monarch was reportedly not impressed with Markle’s demands, especially that she is just a new member of the royal family.

Prior to the reports of banning Markle, Her Majesty and Prince Harry’s wife shared a close bond. In fact, the Queen invited the duchess for a sleepover on the royal train and were like best friends the following day.
