Kate Middleton is expected to wear a tiara once again in December.

The Duchess of Cambridge recently wore Princess Diana's Cambridge tiara during a state banquet at Buckingham Palace. She paired the headpiece with an elegant blue Alexander McQueen gown that features thick straps and a figure-hugging bodice that compliments her slim figure.

According to Ainhoa Barcelona, a journalist for Hello!, Middleton will wear a tiara next at the annual Diplomatic Corps reception at Buckingham Palace in December. The annual event is hosted by the Queen for her extended family in the week leading up to Christmas Day.

For the Diplomatic Corps reception, the guests are expected to turn up in their finest gowns and suits. It has a strict "white tie and decorations" dress code that means tailcoats for gentlemen and full-length gowns for the ladies. In this event, diamonds, tiaras, medals and royals orders are also showcased. Thus, Middleton will likely wear another headpiece from Princess Diana or the Queen's collection for the occasion.

Last year, Middleton debuted the Royal Family Order, which was a personal gift from Queen Elizabeth II. The Order is a special honor given to a female family member as a thank you for their service.

Middleton's brooch features an image of the Queen and Middleton's is made from glass rather than the traditional ivory. She wore it for the second time on Tuesday for the Dutch state banquet. The Duchess of Cambridge is expected to wear it again in December.

The Queen also throws a lavish Diplomatic Corps reception at her home in London at the start of December. The event invites about 1,000 guests including ambassadors, high commissioners, government officials and the senior members of the royal family.

In the past years, Prince Philip has been supporting Her Majesty, but he was noticeably absent last year as he had officially retired. Aside from the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince William and Middleton were there. Prince Harry who is further down the line didn't make an appearance at the event. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex aren't expected to attend this Christmas.

At the time, Prince Harry and Markle are still on their 16-day Commonwealth tour. They are currently in Tonga after visiting Australia and Fiji.
