  • Kate Middleton would have to make a huge life when she becomes queen
  • Kate Middleton and Prince William will move to Buckingham Palace when the heir ascends the throne
  • Kate Middleton would be gravely affected by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's exit

Kate Middleton and Prince William are expected to take on more royal duties and responsibilities after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their exit.

And in the coming years, the royal couple is also expected to serve as the queen and king of Britain. When this important day comes, there are predictions that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would have to make a huge change in their lives.

At present, Prince William and Middleton are residing at Kensington Palace, and this is also where they hold their offices. But when they become the king and queen of Britain, they would have to move out of the property.

According to Express, the royal couple would be forced to transfer to Buckingham Palace because this is the official residence of the monarch. At present, Queen Elizabeth resides in the palace, and she is also forced to endure the distance between her and Prince Philip, who is staying in Sandringham.

But before Prince William and Middleton move to Buckingham Palace, the property will first serve as the home of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. After all, Prince Charles is the one who will succeed Her Majesty.

Rumors are rife that the heir to the throne could give up the crown in favor of Prince William. However, this is unlikely to happen. After all, the reigning monarch has no power to change the order of succession.

Meanwhile, Middleton also made headlines this week after it was reported that she would have to bear the brunt of the royal family upheaval following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s announcement.

While speaking with News.com.au, royal expert Daniela Esler said that the royal couple’s exit is going to be thrown into overdrive in the coming months and years.

“Essentially, she [Kate] has done everything right and has a blemish-free royal report card and yet she faces having her achievements pale in comparison to Meghan’s. No matter the inequity of it, the Duchess of Cambridge is never really going to be able to escape the global shadow of her high-reaching, high-achieving sister-in-law,” she said.
