  • The royal couple's reactions were reportedly edited
  • Prince William and Kate Middleton will include a moral clause next year

Kate Middleton and Prince William attended the BAFTAs last week, and they witnessed how some celebrities made fun of the royal family.

When the awards show aired on television, the cameras panned at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during Rebel Wilson’s spiel, as well as Margot Robbie’s acceptance speech on behalf of the best actor winner, Brad Pitt.

The footage showed Prince William and Middleton smiling awkwardly at the jokes made about Prince Andrew and Prince Harry. However, a source recently revealed that the couple’s reactions were edited to make them look as though they were laughing.

While speaking with Fox News, sources revealed Prince William and Middleton were most offended by “Pitch Perfect” star Rebel Wilson. During her spiel, the funny woman pretended not to know the name of the venue for the awards show.

Instead of calling it the Royal Albert Hall, Wilson called it the Royal Andrew and the Royal Harry.

Robbie, on the other hand, read Pitt’s speech, where the actor said that he would be naming his trophy Harry because he’s really excited to bring it back to the States.

“This was not met with the smiling faces that you saw on the final edited version of the show,” reporter Neil Sean said.

Meanwhile, Sean also revealed that a mole told him that Prince William and Middleton will include a moral clause in their acceptance agreement to make sure that the same thing won’t happen again next year.

“A mole also told me that to ensure that the royals are not embarrassed or made fun of again at such a prestigious event like this one... They will have a ‘moral clause’ inserted into their acceptance agreement ensuring that due reverence is given to the royal couple who gave their time and support to such a wonderful celebration of film and is respected,” he said.

In related news, body language expert Judi James analyzed the royal couple’s reaction at the BAFTAs. She told Express that Middleton didn’t know how to react to the jokes that’s why she looked at Prince William to imitate his reaction.
